Tournament Overview

The 35th Africa Cup of Nations returns to Morocco for the first time since 1988. With the Atlas Lions as hosts and favorites, nine world-class stadiums across six cities, and 24 of Africa's finest national teams, AFCON 2025 promises to be the most spectacular edition yet.

This is also Morocco's dress rehearsal for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Expect exceptional infrastructure, seamless organization, and a nation ready to welcome the world.

Notable Absences

Ghana (4ร— champions) failed to qualify for the first time since 2004, finishing bottom of their qualifying group. Also missing: Guinea, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania, and Namibia, all of whom appeared in 2023.

The Fan ID is mandatory for entering any AFCON 2025 stadium or official Fan Zone. It links your identity to your tickets and serves as your tournament credential.

Morocco and CAF have waived e-visa fees for supporters attending AFCON 2025. Apply through the YALLA app alongside your Fan ID.

AEVM: Temporary Requirement

Citizens of Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia, normally visa-exempt, must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (AEVM) during the tournament period.

Yes. CAF and the Moroccan Local Organising Committee confirmed that electronic visas for AFCON fans, obtained through the YALLA app, are free of charge. This applies specifically to tournament attendance.
