Lunch at Le Wardya, Barrière Le Naoura

A poolside table in a walled garden, a short walk from the Bab Doukkala gate.

Lunch at Le Wardya, Barrière Le Naoura

Barrière Le Naoura keeps its own wall between Gueliz and Bab Doukkala, which puts a garden of jacaranda and olive within walking distance of the medina gates. Le Wardya serves at the pool, under parasols, with the water in front of you.

The cooking is Mediterranean with Moroccan turns: seafood pastilla in small format, cheese briouats, grilled fish, salads built from the morning market. Meat is halal, as it is across the house, and the kitchen will lay a full table to your requirements when you ask.

Loungers stay available after the meal. Suits a hot afternoon between two in-town visits, and families who want a pool without leaving the center of the city.

Your comfort and privacy

Poolside lunch is not served during Ramadan daylight hours. The garden and pool stay open and the meal moves to iftar.
